It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Members will participate in the Hockinson School District's Student Success Project. This project directly reflects the district's motto: Preparing all students for future success. Our goal is to elevate the strengths and gifts that students bring to our learning spaces and partner with them to address needs that help them reach their full potential as a learner. The Student Success Project is designed in support of the Hockinson Heights Elementary School Vision: All students will be proficient in reading by the end of second grade and will maintain proficiency until the end of fifth grade because we believe reading is the key for all students to achieve their dreams. The WRC member will partner with school leaders and intervention specialists to provide this academic support. Locations Hockinson School District - Hockinson Heights Elementary (3), Hockinson High School (3) Who May be a Good Fit Enjoy working on a team. Are comfortable working with children and adolescents. Have an interest in education and social work. US citizens, nationals, or lawful permanent resident aliens. Responsibilities Tutor students in a school setting under the supervision of a certificated teacher. Lead after-school and enrichment activities to support academic success. Provide academic support in classrooms as needed. Conduct check-in meetings with students who need academic success coaching. Organize learning materials and maintain student contact logs.
