Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Labor/Delivery unit is responsible for providing exceptional care to patients greater than 35 weeks in labor and Mom/Baby couplets. This position requires a nurse with strong teamwork, provider consistency, and the ability to work independently with good communication skills in a rural hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Titrate drips for Antepartum/Labor and Postpartum care, including medications such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and others.
• Provide care in accordance with AWHONN guidelines for labor and postpartum ratios.
• Float to MSP/ED for assisting as needed, mostly by sitting 1:1 with patients.
• Participate in a 3-shift orientation specific to the unit/department.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Active RN license.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP.
• Ability to pass fit testing requirements for the facility.
