The Leyla Strong Foundation is a Clayton County-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports children with neurological disabilities and the families who care for them. Founded from a personal journey with traumatic brain injury, the foundation is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and joyful spaces where children can play, connect, and thrive. Programs include free community play dates, family-centered events, resource connections, emergency family support, and recognition opportunities for children who show strength and resilience. While rooted in traumatic brain injury advocacy, the foundation’s play dates welcome children with all neurological disabilities. The organization values community, friendship, and experiences that help every child feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Role Description This is a volunteer Graphic Web Designer role based in Jonesboro, GA. At this time, this is not a paid position. This opportunity is ideal for a student, intern, recent graduate, or creative individual looking to gain hands‑on experience while supporting a meaningful nonprofit mission. The Graphic Web Designer will help create and maintain visually engaging website layouts, landing pages, and digital assets that reflect the foundation’s mission and brand identity. Responsibilities may include designing graphics for the website, social media, flyers, newsletters, campaigns, and community events. This volunteer will also assist with creating branding elements for programs and events, maintaining consistent typography and visual standards, updating web content and digital assets, and preparing files for print and online use. The role involves working closely with foundation leadership to turn event ideas, announcements, and outreach efforts into clear, accessible, and visually appealing designs. Qualifications Strong interest or experience in graphic design, web design, branding, or digital media. Ability to create graphics for web, social media, newsletters, flyers, and print materials. Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or similar platforms. Basic understanding of typography, layout, branding, and visual consistency. Ability to translate event and program ideas into creative, user‑friendly digital designs. Understanding of basic web design principles, responsive design, and accessibility is a plus. Strong communication, creativity, time management, and willingness to collaborate. Previous experience with nonprofits, schools, healthcare, community organizations, or advocacy work is helpful but not required. No degree is required at this time. Students, interns, recent graduates, and individuals building a design portfolio are strongly encouraged to apply.
