Engauge in partnership with a growing manufacturer in Germantown has a 1st or 2nd shift Direct Hire Brake Press Operator role available.

Pay: $25-$30/hr
Shift options:
• 1st Shift 6AM-2PM M-F
• 2nd Shift (with shift premium)

What You'll Do:

Set up and operate press brakes to fabricate high-precision metal components from various gauge materials
Work from BOMs, sketches, and engineering drawings to meet tight dimensional tolerances
Write and modify machine programs directly on the equipment (Amada, Safan, and Cincinnati press brakes)
Select and install correct dies, adjust ram stroke, and program electronic back gauges
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using tools like calipers, squares, and protractors
Complete machine maintenance, follow safety procedures, and assist with material handling (forklifts, cranes)

What We're Looking For:

3-5 years of experience operating and setting up press brakes in a fabrication environment
Proficiency in programming press brake equipment and reading detailed fabrication drawings
Ability to plan bending sequences and adjust for complex shapes and multi-angle bends
Solid knowledge of metal forming techniques and machine tooling
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work with minimal supervision
High school diploma or vocational training in metal fabrication or a related field
