Welocalize is seeking an English Patent Translator for immediate availability on remote freelance basis. Overview Applicants must translate and proofread English patents, primarily in Computer Science, Electricity, and Mechanics, with native-level fluency in English. Project Details Job Title: English Patent Translator Task: Equivalency – compare English source against the backtranslation English target. Start Date: ASAP Location: Remote Content Type: Computer Science, Electricity, Mechanics Expected Weighted Volume Per Week: 5,000+ words CAT Tool: XTM Employment Type: Freelance Preferred Qualifications Native fluency in English Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years’ experience in translating and/or editing patent documents (IT, Electricity, Mechanics patents) Proficiency in using CAT tools, especially XTM Attention to detail Good availability and quick response times What We Offer Steady volume of projects and long‑term partnership Interaction and professional relationship with global production teams Multicultural, international team working on diverse document types and topics On‑time payments Selected candidates will be invited to complete a translation test.
