CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in various surgical techniques and excellent teamwork within a fast-paced environment.

Shift Type: 5x8 hours, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Weekend Requirement: Participation in weekend call rotation

On-Call Requirement: Call rotation with staff

Requests for Time Off: All requests must be included in the initial submission

Call Off Policy: Allowed to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks

Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Local Candidates: Not accepted

Pending Licenses: Accepted for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state, with the active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license required for others

BLS Certification

CNOR Certification (Preferred)

Experience with procedures including but not limited to:

AAA repair

CABG

Atrial Septal Defect Repair

Cardiomyoplasty

Femoral Cannulation

IABP

MAZE Procedure

Mitral Valve Replacement

Pericardial Window

LVAD/RVAD

Experience with thoracic procedures including:

Lobe Resection

Mediastinoscopy

Thoracotomy

Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery

Prior experience in a Teaching Hospital and Level II Trauma setting

Scrub experience required

Familiarity with specialized equipment:

Impella

Sternal Lock

Laser Systems

Da Vinci Robot

Stryker Camera System

Storz Camera System
