We are the Largest Independent Agency on the West side of Houston and have been serving Texas and Louisiana for almost 20 years. With over 80+ Carriers we specialize in Home, Auto, Commercial, Specialty, Life, and Health. We are looking to grow our team with a new team member that is competitive, reliable and efficient. You will sell, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio. The goal is to build up strong positive relationships, to ensure growth attainment and increase our agency’s reputation.

Insurance producers use sales skills and customer service to gain new clients, keep existing clients happy, and build strong, ongoing relationships. Insurance agencies seek candidates who have the specific skills required for continued success at this job :

• Sales skills – insurance producers use sales techniques to gain new clients
• Customer service – insurance producers use customer service skills to keep existing clients happy
• Communication skills – insurance producers use strong verbal communication skills to speak with clients and interact with other office members
• Analytical thinking – insurance producers use analytical skills to assess insurance policy risks
• Computer skills – insurance producers enter information into computer systems to create new insurance policies and proposals, which requires excellent computer skills
• Interpersonal skills – insurance producers are ultimately sales professionals who must build and foster relationships with clients, which requires them to have exceptional interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills – insurance producers use problem-solving skills to appease angry or upset customers

Responsibilities

• Develop marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions/changes to existing ones
• Breed productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various leads, our agency sends mailers monthly. There will be no cold calling.
• Evaluate business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and propose protection plans that meet their criteria
• Work with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profiles
• Maintain bookkeeping systems, database and records
• Constantly update job knowledge and learn about new products and services
• Fulfill all policy requirements

Skills

• Proven working experience as an Insurance agent or relevant experience
• Familiarity with all types of insurance plans (automobile, fire, life, property, medical etc)
• Basic computer knowledge and statistical analysis
• Proven ability to work with goals
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectively
• Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
• High school or BS degree
• P&C license

• Insurance sales: 1 year (Preferred)

• Property & Casualty License (Preferred)
