What You’ll Do Participate in the Recruit Awesome People program and promote our colleague‑first culture. Act as our customer’s best service provider at all times. Respond to routine and non‑routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, emergency and after‑hours service calls; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, and debug systems. Install projects as necessary and use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Identify and resolve problems for many types of service calls, including emergency and after‑hours calls; analyze repair requirements and provide appropriate solutions. Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint in a timely manner. Provide custom systems integrations, detailed upgrade planning and execution, systems audits, consultation, and database management as needed. Execute all service calls in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company health and safety policies. Communicate with and work with other team members consistently to improve overall operations. Perform preventative maintenance for installed systems that are less complex. Work closely with other specialists to cross‑train on servicing existing customers. Scope of work includes technical assistance, systems checkout of new and existing installations, and routine maintenance and repair. Perform other duties as requested or required. What You’ll Need Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; maintain awareness of customer needs without prompting. Solid technical skills and experience related to fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems. Programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions. Self‑starter who works well with direct supervision. Mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., use of hand and power tools). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Minimum Experience: 3‑5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems. Preferred Experience Relevant field service experience.
