Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a UT or compact RN license.

Details

Work in a 6-bed ICU/PCU unit within a Level IV Trauma Center hospital

Lifespan patient population with common diagnoses including DKA, hypertensive crisis, COPD exacerbations, and pneumonia

Patient ratios of 1-2:1

Uses Linet beds and Zoll defibrillators

Charts in Medhost EHR

Night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Weekend rotation required every other weekend

Floating required

No call requirements

Requirements

Active RN license (UT or Compact) required

Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, and BLS (AHA certifications required)

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills needed

Additional Information

Provide critical care nursing to ICU/PCU patients across the lifespan

Supervised by a Director and Supervisor with established unit leadership

Monthly orientation held the 2nd full week of the month, Monday through Thursday

Dress code requires solid-colored scrubs

Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for travel assignment

Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
