Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer (React / TypeScript / Python) Location : Remote (United States) Department : Engineering Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Senior Level (5+ years) About the Role Inner Logic is building the computational development infrastructure that will transform how we design, develop and test the next generation of intelligence-enabled medical procedural devices, from orthopedic implants to heart valves to surgical robots. We are looking for a user-focused fast-moving Full Stack Developer to lead the development of the first version of our customer-facing React-based web application and Python-based command line interface. These will support the configuration and execution of physics-based simulations, image and video data generation, and data management/analysis. The successful candidate is able to move fast with a lean startup philosophy. This starts off as an IC role but will quickly grow into a leadership role. The successful candidate is able to clearly communicate a technical vision, and mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Frontend Development (Core Focus - 80%) GUI - Architect, develop, operate, and maintain intuitive and high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript. CLI - Architect, develop, operate, and maintain command line interfaces using Python. Backend & API (20%) API - Design and implement RESTful API using Python FastAPI. Integrate with backend systems running AI and simulation workflows. Backend Services - Develop or integrate with micro-services using Go, Python, Node.js, or Java. Data Modeling and Access - Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases, design schemas, migrations, and performant queries. Common Quality Assurance - Full suite of tests (unit, integration, acceptance tests) CI/CD - GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes and web deployment Observability - OpenTelemetry. Required Qualifications 5+ years building and shipping customer-facing web applications. 3+ years experience with React and TypeScript in production codebases. 3+ years experience with Server-Side Rendering (Next.js) 3+ years experience modeling data and writing queries against a relational database (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and caching(Redis). 2+ years experience building APIs (Python FastAPI) Strong web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript ES6+) Strong commitment to automated testing, code reviews, clean code practices, and Git-based collaborative workflows. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years building backend services (Go, Python, Node.js, or Java) Experience building and using agentic workflows (MCP) Experience developing simulation UX Experience developing image/video editing applications Solid understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Compensation and Benefits The base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $190,000 per year. Where an offer falls in that range depends on location, experience, education, and credentials. The role also includes stock options.
