Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

This role offers an opportunity for a Licensed Vocational Nurse to work in a fast-paced adult clinic, focusing on patient care and accurate documentation. You will support clinical operations by rooming patients, taking vital signs, and maintaining thorough medical records to ensure high-quality, efficient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing support to adult patients in a clinic setting.
• Room patients efficiently and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Accurately take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and other key measurements.
• Complete detailed and timely clinical documentation in patient charts and electronic systems as required.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records to support continuity of care.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and high-quality care.
• Follow established clinical protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and the care team to support a positive patient experience.

Essential Skills

• Active Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) qualification.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and recordkeeping.
• Ability to accurately take and record patient vital signs.
• Experience rooming patients in a clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective communication skills with patients and clinical staff.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with adult patient populations in a clinic setting.
• Familiarity with clinical workflows and patient scheduling processes.
• Comfort using electronic health record (EHR) or similar documentation systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks during busy clinic hours.

Work Environment

The role is based in a fast-paced adult clinic where patient volume can be high and workflows move quickly throughout the day. You will work closely with other clinical staff in exam rooms and documentation areas, frequently transitioning between rooming patients, taking vital signs, and completing records. The environment emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration to provide timely care. Clinical attire such as scrubs is typically worn to support professionalism and practicality in daily patient care.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
