AccountantLocation: CityScapeThe position of Accountant is responsible for assisting with the accounting and financial reporting of the Company. This position works closely with the Financial Reporting Managers and other accounting staff to complete projects, prepare SEC and regulatory financial reporting schedules and will also perform various accounting duties including: preparation of financial statement schedules, operational accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, transaction analysis, standalone entity accounting, inter-company accounting, and ad hoc projects. This position also ensures compliance with SOX, all policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal banking regulations.Prepare financial schedules and analysis that comprise SEC and regulatory reporting.Prepare journal entry supporting documentation as part of the month-end, quarter-end and annual close process.Provide support to all assigned areas in the Accounting Department where service or assistance is needed.Support legal entity accounting, including application of customer payments and revenue recognitionInterface with management, external auditors and regulatory agencies concerning accounting and SOX requirements.What you'll need:3+ years of related experience in Accounting, Finance (GL Mgmt., Public Reporting, Analysis) or similar field.Bachelor's degree in related field required; Masters or MBA in related field preferred.Introductory knowledge of applicable SEC rules and regulations.Intermediate understanding of GAAP and Financial Reporting.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.Benefits you'll love: We offer all the important things you'd want — like competitive salaries, an ownership stake in the company, medical and dental insurance, time off, a great 401k matching program, tuition assistance program, an employee volunteer program, and a wellness program.
