Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners' communication skills in an engaging, on-site setting near Brunswick, ME. This contract position starts August 24th and offers a flexible weekly schedule around 20 hours, with the possibility for slight variation. You’ll provide vital speech and language services for a manageable caseload of 8 to 10 students, spanning Kindergarten through 6th grade, at Acadia Academy and in Lewiston.

Applicants with strong school-based SLP experience are highly encouraged, including those with CCC or those completing their CFY year. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated educational team, contributing meaningfully to each student’s growth and success.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Maine SLP license or eligibility before start date
• School experience, ideally with the K-6 age range
• Skilled in assessment, goal setting, and progress monitoring
• Confident supporting a diverse range of speech and language needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site and travel between assigned locations if needed
• New graduates in their CFY are welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions in accordance with student IEPs
• Conduct targeted assessments, develop appropriate goals, and track progress
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to maximize student achievement
• Provide thorough documentation and timely case management
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
