Part-Time Registered Dietitian

Part-Time Registered DietitianWe are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian that is interested in working with the elderly to our Cura Hospitality team in Farmington, MO. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. This is a hybrid position. This position will be scheduled 17 hours per week at Farmington Presbyterian Manor, while also covering 8 hours every other week at Rolla Presbyterian Manor.What you'll be doing:Provide nutrition assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs)Nutrition education as needed and requested by residentsCreation and quarterly updates on care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferencesCompletion of MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAsUse of the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition CriteriaCare conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the residentCollaboration with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetingsQAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarterMonthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service AuditsWhat we're looking for:Must-haves:Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related fieldPassed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.Licensed or certified, per state requirements.Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.Nice-to-haves:Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.Where you'll be working:Farmington Presbyterian Manor, located in Farmington, MO Also, covering Rolla Presbyterian Manor, located in Rolla, MOPart-Time Benefits:DentalVisionDiscount ProgramCommuter Benefits (Parking and Transit)EAP401kSick TimeHoliday Pay (9 paid holidays)Compensation Range: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour, depending on experience.About Cura: Cura serves hospitals, senior living centers, and other long-term care facilities.
