This job reports to Principal. Essential Functions Assists students and teachers for the purpose of complementing classroom instruction with a variety of software applications and the use of computer technology. Attends workshops and seminars to stay abreast of computer and software updates; coordinates student testing (e.g., sets up labs, troubleshoots software, monitors students) to ensure procedures and guidelines are followed. Coordinates students, teachers, and technical support personnel to maintain computer lab operations. Installs computer software applications to provide instructional materials for student and teacher use. Monitors students (e.g., internet usage, computer lab behavior) to provide a safe and positive learning environment. Prepares documentation (e.g., daily usage reports, requisitions, instructions, memos) to document activities and provide written reference. Researches software applications to recommend potential applications appropriate for student level. Troubleshoots hardware and software applications and problems while maintaining applications (e.g., runs updates, replaces printer cartridges, reviews functions) to determine appropriate actions and ensure availability for student and teacher use. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Job Requirements Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
