Junior Estimator- Civil Earthwork

Junior Civil Estimator Earthwork & Site Development

A growing civil construction company is looking to add a Junior Estimator to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in civil earthwork, construction takeoffs, and quantity estimating who wants to continue developing their career in estimating.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with earthwork takeoffs and AGTEK and understand the fundamentals of civil construction and site development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating civil construction projects from bid documents and plans.
• Perform detailed earthwork and material quantity takeoffs.
• Review plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify project scope.
• Utilize AGTEK to complete digital takeoffs and develop accurate quantities.
• Assist with pricing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare bid proposals and estimate summaries.
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in civil construction estimating preferred.
• Experience with earthwork and site development takeoffs required.
• Working knowledge of AGTEK required.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
• Understanding of grading, excavation, dirt work, utilities, and site development.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other construction software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a larger estimating role.
