Assistant Professor of Secondary Education - Science (Graduate Level) National Louis University, Chicago, IL The Opportunity The National College of Education (NCE) at National Louis University is announcing a full‑time faculty position at the secondary level. The role will lead the program in Natural Sciences Education (biology, physics, chemistry, geology) and provide graduate‑level instruction, curriculum development and faculty leadership. The position is full‑time, 10‑month, open‑ranking (Assistant/Associate). Who You Are You are: A Change Leader. Essential Responsibilities Teach content methods courses and practices corresponding to science curriculum expertise Coach teacher candidates in field‑based learning experiences Collaborate across disciplines to analyze teacher and student learning data, continuously designing innovative teacher preparation practices Qualifications Required Qualifications Doctorate earned in Science Education or related educational field Three or more years of secondary‑level teaching experience in the field of science Demonstrated or planned scholarly research agenda focused on science, secondary education, or teacher education Strong commitment to fostering and promoting quality education that is accessible for all students Preferred Qualifications Well‑versed in the learning sciences and innovative applications of emerging technologies Strong teaching and research skills Proven experience and proficiency in teaching across various higher education platforms, including online, blended, and face‑to‑face formats Equal Opportunity Employer National Louis University is deeply committed to serving its community, advancing access and equity, and ensuring that all individuals are welcomed and valued.
