Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in Laytonsville, MD.Summary:The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor relationships. This individual will lead and develop the AP team, drive process improvements, maintain compliance with company policies, and partner with internal departments to support financial operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a major plus
• 6+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including 4+ years in a leadership or management role
• Experience working in a large-scale organization with high-volume invoice processing
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing an Accounts Payable team
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of AP best practices, internal controls, and month-end close processes
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
