Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a newly established Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of the assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Wichita, Kansas
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
• Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid nursing license, a minimum of one year of current acute care hospital experience in Medical Surgical, Orthopedic, or similar units, and BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with traction, spine, hip, and joint precautions, ACLS certification, and experience with Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Additional Information: The unit is brand new, with 34 beds, and staff includes a team experienced in handling typical procedures such as total joint, spine, and orthopedic cases. The team values outgoing, compassionate, and team-oriented personalities.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
