This independent contractor position is responsible for promoting residents' dignity, comfort, personal appearance, and well-being while maintaining all professional licensing, insurance, and infection control standards. Qualifications Current Maryland Beautician/Cosmetology License in good standing. Current self-insurance or professional liability insurance as required. Independent contractor status; responsible for applicable taxes and business requirements. Experience working with older adults or in a healthcare setting preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide haircuts, shampoos, styling, beard trimming, manicures, and pedicures as appropriate. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized salon/work area. Follow all infection prevention, sanitation, and safety standards. Coordinate services with nursing staff to ensure resident safety and comfort. Treat all residents with dignity, respect, and compassion. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies. Participate in care planning discussions when requested. Maintain all required licenses and insurance throughout the contract period. Contractor Responsibilities This position is an independent contractor relationship and not an employment position. The contractor is responsible for maintaining all required licenses, insurance, taxes, supplies (unless otherwise agreed), and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
