Part-Time Line CookTurtleback Mountain Golf and Resort, located in Elephant Butte, NM, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.General Purpose: Prepares food products for restaurant and banquet operations to ensure quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. Schedule: Nights and weekends are mandatory. Key Responsibilities:Prepares sufficient quantities of food in accordance with production plans or forecasted needsUtilizes whole food products while minimizing wasteMaintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areasAlerts chef or supervisor of equipment issues, food overages, or shortages in a timely mannerRequisitions inventory and receives supplies as needed for daily productionEnsures proper storage of food items, including wrapping, dating, and rotating productsIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as requiredQualifications: Minimum 1 year experience in the kitchen. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiencePhysical Demands:Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes, and smellsRegularly walks and reaches with hands and arms Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 poundsEnvironment/Noise:Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical partsOccasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoorsNoise level is moderateCertificates/Licenses: Food Safety and Sanitation TrainingJob Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform job duties (e.g., communicating with English-speaking customers or co-workers; equipment manuals are in English).This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities.
