Trailer Mechanic

Trailer MechanicWe are seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to work independently while following safety and industry standards. This is a working mechanic role, not an entry-level position.Primary Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on medium- and heavy-duty trucks and trailersPerform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairsRepair and service: air and hydraulic brake systems, tires and wheel assemblies, driveline components, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, mobile AC/refrigeration unitsPerform engine overhauls and rebuilds as requiredFollow warranty procedures for repairs and servicesComplete work orders and maintain accurate service recordsMaintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and complianceWork independently and collaborate with team members as neededRequired Qualifications:3+ years of recent experience as a Trailer Mechanic or Heavy Equipment MechanicProven experience working on medium- to heavy-duty trucks and trailersHands-on experience with: air brake systems, hydraulic systems, suspension and steering, electrical diagnostics, engine repair or rebuildsAbility to diagnose issues and perform repairs without constant supervisionAbility to work standard schedule with occasional overtimeStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsMust have own toolsCommitment to safety and high-quality workmanshipWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Shop and yard environmentStanding, bending, lifting, and working with tools throughout the shiftAbility to lift heavy components as requiredExposure to grease, oils, machinery, and shop noise
