Seasonal Cameron Courts Front Desk & Tennis Staff

Position Type: Seasonal (October–May)

Position Overview

The Minot Park District is seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our seasonal team at Cameron Courts and our youth tennis programs. This position offers the opportunity to work in front desk operations, youth tennis programming, or both , depending on your interests, experience, and availability.

Front desk staff will assist with the daily operations of Cameron Courts Indoor Tennis Center, while tennis helpers/coaches will support instructors during youth tennis lessons and activities. Both roles provide an opportunity to work with the community, promote active lifestyles, and help create a positive experience for participants and facility users.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Cameron Courts Front Desk Staff

• Open and close Cameron Courts in accordance with facility procedures. 
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and check in facility users. 
• Provide friendly, professional, and energetic customer service. 
• Assist with court reservations, scheduling, and other administrative tasks. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility. 
• Set up equipment for programs, practices, and events. 
• Support the daily front desk and program operations of Cameron Courts. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Youth Tennis Helper/Coach

• Assist with daily duties during youth tennis lessons and programs. 
• Follow instructions provided by tennis manager. 
• Help set up, transport, and put away tennis equipment, including rackets, balls, and other supplies. 
• Sweep courts before lessons to maintain a safe and clean playing environment. 
• Assist with activities and provide support to youth participants as directed by manager. 
• Report emergencies, injuries, rule violations, or other concerns to tennis manager immediately. 
• Help maintain a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for participants. 
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the tennis coaches. 

Minimum Qualifications & Expectations

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance. 
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. 
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs. 
• Basic understanding of tennis rules or willingness to learn. 
• Ability to work with youth in a positive, patient, and encouraging manner. 
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. 
• Willingness to learn front desk operations and POS systems (training provided). 
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods. 
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry light equipment, including tennis rackets, balls, and program supplies. 
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during outdoor tennis programming. 
• Ability to perform general cleaning and facility maintenance tasks as needed.
