Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room (OR) provides specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist in surgical procedures, maintaining sterile techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for surgery.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the EPIC system.
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff.
• Adhere to safety standards and hospital protocols throughout perioperative care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess at least 2 years of OR experience in a busy surgical environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health records.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
• Be flexible to work scheduled hours, including on-call shifts.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
