Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information, prepare financial reports, budgets, and statements, analyze financial data, and support the finance team and CFO. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, preferably with experience in the manufacturing industry. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide necessary documentation and support. Ensure compliance with all applicable sales tax laws, rules, and regulations. Regularly review financial plans and budgets for cost reduction opportunities and support cost accounting for manufacturing. Develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance the department's workflow. File census and other information reports as required. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze financial statements for discrepancies and issues. Support the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, census reports, and employee expense reports. Requirements Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Understanding and experience with cost accounting principles and techniques for manufacturing. At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in accounting software, payroll processes, Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial documents. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
