VP, Portfolio Manager

Job Overview

Target salary range: $135,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an annual discretionary cash bonus (target 10%) and an annual discretionary restricted stock unit (RSU) bonus (target 10%) that may be awarded semi‑annually based on performance goals and targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of non‑real‑estate lender finance clients, including specialty finance companies, consumer lending platforms, and other non‑bank financial institutions.
• Ensure timely and accurate risk monitoring, covenant compliance, and performance reporting.
• Conduct in‑depth credit analysis and stress testing on underlying collateral and borrower performance.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
• Manage a team of analysts and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet portfolio objectives and deadlines.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding portfolio performance and risk‑related matters.
• Cultivate long‑term client relationships and identify product cross‑sell opportunities.
• Collaborate with credit, underwriting, and syndication teams to support new transactions and amendments.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal credit policies, and audit standards.
• Prepare and present portfolio reviews to senior management and risk committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; formal credit training preferred.
• 10+ years in commercial lending, structured finance, or portfolio management, with a focus on non‑real‑estate lender finance.
• Proven experience managing complex portfolios.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and capital markets.
• Experience managing syndicated credit facilities in an administrative agent role preferred.
