Here, you will make an impact by:Managing project timelines and budgets for assigned projects.Successfully interacting with multiple discipline teams including 3M plant personnel, consultants and suppliers.Specifying equipment performance and design criteria.Estimating capital equipment and installation costs.Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy.Overseeing plant equipment layout and design.Coordinate construction activity.Leading equipment commissioning.Protecting 3M intellectual property.Communicating effectively to project team, facility staff and project owners.Gaining understanding of applicable codes and guidelines to insure designs meet standards.Other duties as assigned.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)Two (2) years of project management experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering from an accredited programExperience in quarry mining and/or heavy industrial operationsTeam player with the ability to contribute in a matrix environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated Skills including:Technical leadership capabilitiesDefining problem and goalsGenerating project scopeCommunication and team building with cross-functional membersObtaining fundingPurchasing, contracting and supplier managementSuccessful capital project implementationWork location: Work location: Corona, CATravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
