ROLE REQUIREMENTS

The Respiratory Therapist will provide patient education, respiratory equipment set-up, clinical assessments, and ongoing support for patients receiving respiratory therapies in the home setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct in-home respiratory patient visits
• Perform patient assessments according to physician orders and company policies
• Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory therapies and equipment
• Set up and monitor respiratory equipment, including:
  • Invasive ventilators
  • Noninvasive ventilators
  • PAP therapy equipment
  • Home oxygen equipment
  • Infant monitors
  • Other high-tech respiratory devices as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Communicate patient assessments and findings to physicians
• Provide ongoing support and follow-up for respiratory patients
• Assist with training and orientation activities as assigned

OVERVIEW

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide education, training, assessment, and ongoing support for patients utilizing ventilators, PAP therapy, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory equipment. QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required

• Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing requirements as applicable
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record as required

Preferred

• Accredited respiratory care education preferred
• Degree in respiratory therapy or related science preferred
• Home respiratory care experience preferred
• One year of related work experience preferred
• Additional nursing or paramedical training may be considered where permitted by state law
