Job Title Travel RN – Emergency Room Location Salem, VA | Emergency Department Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4–6:1 Perform and assist with procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement Manage care of psychiatric patients and coordinate transfers to other facilities in accordance with EMTALA regulations Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, staff RNs, and medics across day and night shifts Fulfill weekend shift requirements (four weekend shifts within a four-week scheduling period; no on-call required) Required Qualifications Active RN license valid in Virginia Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Room experience Must have completed 2–3 prior travel assignments Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Proficiency with Meditech EMR Preferred Experience / Skills Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Departments Comfort working with patient ratios of 5:1 Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale Relaxed, team-oriented, and adaptable personality well-suited to a collaborative ED environment Why Join Us Work in a well-staffed Emergency Department with no on-call requirements and a structured weekend schedule Gain valuable experience performing a wide range of high-acuity procedures in a supportive team environment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 776611.
