Homecare Caregiver Crawfordsville

As a Homecare Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering essential personal care services to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. At Altra Homecare of Kokomo, we believe that the best caregivers are those who treat our clients like family, which is why we adhere to our guiding philosophy, the "Grandmom Rule". We only hire professional caregivers who we would hire to take care of our own grandmothers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient laundry when necessary
- Provide medication reminders
- Ensure patient safety
- Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
- Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
- Monitor and record patient temperature
- Assist patients with ambulation
- Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
- Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
- Offer bathing assistance
- Perform light housekeeping
- Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
- Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided
- Current CPR certification
- Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws
