Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing, with ability to obtain IL licensure if necessary
• Demonstrated expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a CVOR RN preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in high-pressure, dynamic surgical settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients in a busy CVOR
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and scrub techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Circulate and/or scrub in cardiovascular surgeries using advanced sterile technique
• Document and monitor all procedures and patient vitals with attention to detail
• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and evidence-based practice improvements
