Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health and substance use histories to identify their needs and establish tailored treatment goals. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. \n
- Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that provide support and education, fostering a safe space for sharing experiences among peers in recovery. \n
- Provide one-on-one counseling, ensuring patients feel heard and supported while implementing techniques that promote coping strategies and recovery skills. \n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, participating in case consultations and team meetings to promote integrated approaches to patient care. \n
- Offer crisis intervention support during emergencies related to substance use, promptly addressing patient needs while maintaining a composed and professional demeanor. \n
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to aid in the recovery journey. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of treatment sessions and patient interactions, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines. \n
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying updated on the latest research and best practices in substance use disorder treatment. \n
The primary focus of this position will be on individuals who are struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from those seeking initial recovery support to individuals in later stages of treatment. You will engage with a diverse patient population, applying culturally competent care to address the unique challenges faced by each individual and their families.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California. \n
- In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities. \n
- Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions in individual and group settings, particularly in addiction treatment contexts. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to patient care. \n
- Proficient understanding of ethical guidelines related to confidentiality and professional boundaries. \n
- Familiarity with EHR systems to manage patient records efficiently and accurately. \n
- Strong aptitude for collaborative work and engagement with multidisciplinary teams. \n

- A minimum of two years working in mental health or substance use disorder treatment settings is preferred. \n
- Prior experience in crisis intervention strategies and emergency mental health support. \n
- Demonstrated history of successful outcomes in recovery-oriented practices and therapeutic interventions. \n
