Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Med/Surg department. This position may require taking patient assignments during staffing shortages, but this will be a last resort. The role offers a dynamic and supportive environment, focusing on patient care excellence.Key DetailsLocation: City, StateDepartment: Med SurgShifts: 12-hour night shiftsWeekend Requirement: As neededHoliday Requirement: As neededFloating Requirements: PCU or BurnResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to patients in a variety of medical, surgical, and orthopedic settings.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including a dedicated CNA and virtual nurse support.Monitor patient vital signs and conditions, ensuring timely interventions when necessary.Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans.Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care procedures.QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license.BLS certification is required.Must pass a skills examination with a minimum score of 90% during orientation.Maintain compliance with fingernail policy; artificial nails are prohibited.A valid driver's license is required and will be used to verify residency within the 50-mile radius rule.Patient RatiosNursing Ratio: 1 nurse to 6-7 patients.CNA Ratio: 1 CNA to 6-7 patients.Virtual Nurse Ratio: 1 virtual nurse to 30 patients.OrientationThe first week will consist of classroom training, followed by 2 shifts of hands-on orientation on the floor.Additional InformationCharting System: EPIC.No on-call or standby requirements.Cancellations: Up to 4 shifts may be canceled during a 13-week assignment.If you're passionate about providing quality patient care and want to be a part of a supportive healthcare team, we encourage you to apply!
