Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, closely monitoring cardiac activity and ensuring safe, effective treatment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient stability and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and monitor cardiac rhythms continuously using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including managing drips like Cardizem, Amiodarone, and heparin.
• Document patient data accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech) and report any changes promptly.
• Ensure adherence to unit policies, dress code (royal blue scrubs), and safety protocols.
• Assist with procedures such as managing chest tubes and wound vacs.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Maintain BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate previous telemetry experience and familiarity with Meditech EMR.
• Ability to manage complex patient needs and respond to emergency situations.
• Possess strong assessment and documentation skills.
• Candidates without required skills will not be considered.
