AP/CP Pathologist - Wilcox Memorial Hospital

Position Summary Sonic Healthcare USA, a Great Place to Work certified employer, is hiring a full‑time Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist to work at a partner hospital on the island of Kauai. Responsibilities Perform frozen sections and sign out surgical, non‑gynecological cytology and peripheral smears. Conduct autopsies. Collaborate with clinical laboratory personnel to ensure high‑quality laboratory services using best practices in laboratory medicine. Support laboratory and hospital quality improvement and accreditation initiatives. Provide consultations to clinicians. Qualifications MD or DO degree. Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology. Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Hawaii. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of post‑residency experience (preferred). Strong surgical pathology and cytopathology skills. Experience in laboratory medicine or as a Medical Director of a lab section. Leadership and communication skills for frequent interaction with physicians, hospital administration, and laboratory staff. Subspecialty fellowship training is welcomed and may receive special consideration. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary: $320,000 Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, and paid time off.
