Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and grow a profitable book of excess casualty business .

• Collaborate with wholesale brokers and agents to ensure a consistent flow of quality submissions.

• Evaluate risks and determine pricing, terms, and conditions in alignment with underwriting strategy.

• Monitor performance of both new and renewal business to ensure ongoing profitability.

• Recommend appropriate actions including renewal terms, non-renewals, or coverage adjustments.

• Stay informed on industry, legal, and claim trends affecting casualty underwriting decisions.

• Meet or exceed production, profitability, and service goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4 to 10+ years of commercial excess casualty underwriting experience , depending on seniority.

• Deep knowledge of excess casualty coverage forms, risk appetite, and industry trends.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with an ability to assess complex risks.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
