The Hostess is expected to answer/return calls, maintain wait-list using Toast Tables, greet, and seat guests in an upbeat and hospitable manner. Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of Imagine One Hospitality style, practices, culture, terminology, organizational structure, and general philosophy. Offer guests of the restaurant a personalized experience. Answer phones according to Imagine One Hospitality standards and provide information regarding the restaurant or any other restaurant service. Develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and what is available for the day. Know the server stations, their daily assignments, their personal timing patterns and maximum workload capacity. Maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with all guests when greeting them, seating them, and throughout their dining experience. Anticipate guests' needs by constantly scanning the room and picking up cues from facial expression, body language, and demeanor. Skills Ability to work cohesively and to support unity within the staff. Openness to guests and fellow employees. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Ability to perform Imagine One Hospitality's steps of service. Ability to provide clear and pleasant telephone communication to all callers. Ability to follow a checklist. Ability to take cues from guests' and staff members' behavior and demeanor as to their level of satisfaction or happiness and to address any issues that arise in a proactive manner. Understanding and ability to adhere to all Imagine One Hospitality restaurant standards, policies, and procedures. Understanding awareness and concern for safety and security and knowledge of how to report any incidents.
