Dentist, Pacific Tower & Georgetown Dental Clinics (.5 FTE) Job Category : Clinical Providers Requisition Number : DENTI005670 Posted: May 15, 2026 Part-Time On-site Locations Seattle, WA 98144, USA Description Purpose The Dentist is responsible for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of patients in a clinical setting. They also document the treatment, communicate with patients and refer to partners as appropriate. This role will also participate in providing guidance and oversight to the dental support team. This position will support at two dental clinics: Pacific Tower and Georgetown. This position is grant funded. Compensation The target wage range for this position is $75.31 per hour to $111.62 per hour. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other factors. Primary Responsibilities Detect and diagnose oral disease including dental caries, periodontal disease, and oral pathology Make reasonable and sound dental assessments and treatment plans and communicate them to patients Provide high quality dental care to patients, in accordance with licensure requirements and NCH policies and procedures Perform all aspects of general dentistry including restorative work, surgical extractions, basic endodontics, scaling and root planning, pediatrics, and removable prosthodontics Integrate patient education into all treatment phases and partner with patients to achieve optimal oral health Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment Obtain history and physical appropriate to dental needs/care; coordinate care with primary care team Stay abreast of new innovations, guidelines and standards to deliver safe, evidence‑based care via continuing education Practice universal precautions, infection control and sterilization as defined by Neighborcare Health policies Review patient records, charts and relevant information prior to providing care Consult with appropriate providers and recommend referrals as needed Document all patient visits, communication, referrals and prescriptions accurately and timely, in compliance with guidelines Participate in developing and utilizing practice guidelines, disease registries, audits, and risk management programs Administrative Work Assist the Clinic Administrator and Site Dental Director in planning and evaluating clinic operations Help meet clinic quality improvement and operations goals to achieve efficiency and productivity Collaborate with clinical staff to embody NeighborCare Health’s Service Commitments Lead the support staff team to meet or exceed patient, coworker, public, and community standards Attend and contribute at staff and provider meetings and in‑service trainings Keep up with developments in dentistry and update care delivery accordingly May participate in preceptorship of dental residents, students, and/or as a clinical shadowing mentor Required Skills Work in a high‑pressure, time‑sensitive, complex health care environment Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality policies and procedures; handle sensitive patient information Work with individuals of diverse ethnicities, socio‑economic levels, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities Conduct discussions of a sensitive nature with staff and patients Build relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries Develop collaborative working relationships that foster a positive work environment Use computers, email, and electronic medical records Communicate effectively in person, via email, and on the phone Preferred Skills Community health experience DEA License Completed a one‑year clinical residency program Experience practicing in a community health setting Education / Experience Requirements Dental Degree required (DDS or DMD) from an American Dental Association accredited dental school Current Washington State Department of Health Dentist License BLS Certification One year of residency training or clinical practice Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
