Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in orthopedic and ophthalmology procedures; prepare and maintain the sterile field; pass instruments and supplies as needed
- Maintain aseptic technique, perform instrument counts, and manage specimen labeling and handling
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and overall OR setup; support safety and infection control practices
- Anticipate surgeon needs, manage equipment and instrumentation, and communicate effectively with the surgical team
- Provide coverage as needed, including floating to other OR areas to meet staffing needs and shift requirements

Requirements
- Certification: NBSTA; BLS (AHA) required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Tech experience in orthopedic and ophthalmology settings
- Licenses/Education: Certification required; education details not specified
- Setting: Ability to work in outpatient surgery within a hospital environment; able to float to Main OR and OP Surgery as needed
- Travel eligibility: Travel assignment; residents outside a 50-mile radius preferred per assignment requirements
