Role Overview Registered Nurse 1 coordinates, directs, and provides professional nursing care to residents of the Nursing Home under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Administrator. Key Responsibilities Coordinate, direct, and provide professional nursing care to residents of the Nursing Home under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Administrator. Qualifications Must possess a current license and registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State. Current employee at the New York State Department of Health S Veterans Home at Oxford with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18, or non‑current employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent‑permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law to a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Preferred: Experience in a long‑term care setting with a geriatric population. Notes Maintaining a current and valid license and/or registration is a condition of employment; failure to do so will result in removal from the position. Applicants must not be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any Federal or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists. If later listed, employment may be terminated. Float charge/supervision position working one weekend a month. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $96,174 – $105,138 (includes statutory hiring rate plus additional geographic differential and shift differential). Shift Differential pay increase (Evening 7%, Night 10%).
