About the Job As an XR SysUI Designer, you will lead critical SysUI design projects to ensure high quality experiences for XR users and developers. You will define the UX foundations for existing and next-generation XR devices, act as a key driver of both strategy and execution, and partner closely with Research, Engineering, and Product Management teams. This role requires a motivated individual contributor who is enthusiastic about building 0 to 1 products, navigating ambiguity, and establishing industry-leading designs, patterns, and frameworks for AI wearables. We are building a future where lightweight XR devices such as smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence and provide personalized, conversational, contextually aware experiences. Responsibilities Drive XR SysUI UX design to scale across the device ecosystem, with users, developers, and OEM partners in mind, exploring new interaction paradigms unique to XR. Align Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams on cohesive, scalable design strategies, cultivating deep relationships and synthesizing complex technical and user considerations into actionable direction throughout the product lifecycle. Lead discovery and ideation for Android XR patterns that adapt to evolving technology, user expectations, and the broader Android/Pixel ecosystem, driving user experience innovation. Act as a strategic partner to executive leaders and stakeholders, resolving complex, ambiguous challenges using data-informed decisions and deep user empathy to influence long-term business success and product excellence.
