Contract | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (19:00-07:30) | Availability every other weekend and holiday expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Neuro ICU treating neurological diseases and disorders, including seizures and strokes, within a comprehensive stroke center environment
• Manage overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU as needed
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring and assessment
• Float within specialty cluster or to other units within the hospital system (including nearby campuses within approximately 15 miles), receiving a medically appropriate assignment or supporting the nursing care team of the unit floated to - travelers are expected to float at the facility's discretion with no restrictions
• Complete up to 24 hours of orientation modules upon start
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR

• Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital setting with some neurological experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience in a high-acuity, large hospital ICU environment
• Familiarity with comprehensive stroke center protocols and neurological patient populations
• Comfort with floating across multiple units or campuses based on census and skill set

• Opportunity to work in a specialized Neuro ICU at a comprehensive stroke center, gaining exposure to a diverse and complex neurological patient population
• Expected schedule of 4×12-hour night shifts per week within a well-established travel nursing program
