Head of Data Science & AI, Identity & Compliance About the Company Leading provider of financial technology (FinTech) solutions Industry Information Technology and Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Head of Data Science for Identity and Compliance. This pivotal role demands a hands-on, technically deep leader to take ownership of the data science function across identity and compliance products. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the technical vision, building and developing the team, and driving the deployment of production-grade AI systems. A key focus is on the development of agent-driven systems that automate identity decisioning and compliance workflows, as well as advancing graph intelligence and representation learning capabilities. Applicants for the Head of Data Science position at the company should hold an MS or PhD in a relevant field and have a minimum of 10 years' experience in data science and machine learning. A strong track record in production-grade AI systems, deep domain experience in identity verification, KYC/AML, and related areas, and proven leadership in managing high-performing data science teams are essential. The role requires deep expertise in graph neural networks, entity resolution, representation learning, and large-scale data systems, as well as a strong understanding of agentic system design. Hands-on experience with GenAI, proficiency in Python, and modern ML frameworks, particularly graph ML frameworks, are also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a background in fintech or adjacent industries and be adept at architecting and deploying ML systems for various identity and compliance functions.
