The Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD) serves more than 9,000 students in grades 9 through 12 from multiple diverse communities in the mid-Peninsula region between San Francisco and San Jose. Its location, coupled with its diverse student population, allows students the opportunity to learn to excel in a global society and interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, races, and ethnicities. The student population in the district is reflective of the diversity in California, with 45% who identify as Hispanic/Latino, 8.2% as Asian, 2.4% as African-American/Black, 2.1% as Pacific Islander, .2% as Native American, and 34.9% as White.
