Position Description The DNA Learning Center (DNALC) of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory has immediate full-time educator positions available at DNA Learning Center NYC (DNALC NYC) in Downtown Brooklyn. The selected candidate will join a small, influential group recognized worldwide as a leader in creating and disseminating new methods in genetics education, including the fields of genomics, bioinformatics, and data science. Position Responsibilities Provide hands-on genetics and molecular biology instructiton to precollege students visiting the DNALC for academic year field trips, summer camps, and extended research projects Deliver in-school instruction Assist with laboratory testing an prep Conduct teacher training and Present public tours Conducting teacher training and developing teaching modules. Position Requirements

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree with significant coursework in science (biology or molecular genetics preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

Strong science background required with an interest and/or experience in teaching

OTHER:

NYS teaching certification preferred, but not required. Recent PhD graduates who would like to pursue teaching careers are also encouraged to apply-especially those with experience in personal genomics, DNA barcoding, metabarcoding, or bioinformatics
