Charge Nurse - Emergency Department - FT Nights

Job Summary The Charge Nurse reports to the Clinical Staff Manager and plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. The Charge Nurse coordinates the unit’s activities and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. The Charge Nurse assesses, monitors, and educates nursing staff on patient care, delegates, coordinates, and readjusts patient assignments, and works to enhance throughput, quality, and customer service. The Charge Nurse institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Requirements Emergency Department or Critical Care experience Active & Clear Georgia nursing license or Multistate nursing license Strong clinical assessment and triage skills Experience managing high‑acuity, fast‑paced environments Commitment to patient safety, teamwork, and service excellence 4 years Emergency Nursing experience American Heart Association (ACLS, BLS, PALS) certification Must be an employee in good standing TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) preferred ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred Core Competencies Patient-Centered Care – Demonstrates a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care that prioritizes the well‑being and satisfaction of patients and their families.
