Overview International Motor Sports Association, LLC (IMSA) was originally founded in 1969 and inherits a long and rich history in sports car racing. Today, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier sports car racing series in North America, and of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, Historic Sportscar Racing, and five one‑make series: Ferrari Challenge North America, Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, Mazda MX‑5 Cup, Mustang Challenge and Porsche Carrera Cup North America. IMSA, a company within the NASCAR family, is the exclusive strategic partner in North America with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) which operates the 24 Hours of Le Mans as part of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Through this partnership, selected IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competitors can earn automatic entries into the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Summary Provides a cross‑functional opportunity to contribute across the entire IMSA organization by working with executive leadership, departmental leadership, and senior staff. Duties are grounded in Member Services and Competition, but the position will span multiple departments and disciplines. Responsibilities Work directly with stakeholders on entry and credential matters. Handle registration during race events. Collaborate with Series Managers to communicate event details to stakeholders. Work across all departments in a rotation‑type format to gain industry experience. Complete all assigned tasks and assist with day‑to‑day operations. Participate in events, meetings, calls, and other learning opportunities. Take detailed notes and liaise with senior staff and management. Observe and learn from experienced team members. Contribute to company policies, procedures, and protocols. Prepare and update documents. Manage incoming and outgoing phone and email communications. Schedule meetings and calls, including attendee communication and confirmations. Plan and execute meetings, including food, beverage, audio/visual, and IT support. Maintain proficiency in social media platforms. Maintain travel profiles, book travel, and manage arrangements. Create and edit reports, documents, and presentation materials. Engage in social media/digital special projects. Occasionally travel to events (approximately 20% travel, including weekends and multi‑day trips). Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university with 1–3 years of post‑graduate professional experience; experience or affinity for sports car racing is a plus. Language Skills: Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical Skills: Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills: Proficient with company‑provided hardware and software, email, Internet, FTP; use current Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office 365; familiarity with current social media platforms. Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license; valid passport a plus. Other Skills: High level of attention to detail for documents and presentations; strong interpersonal skills; ability to maintain composure under pressure; multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Attributes: Positive attitude, appetite to learn, high level of organization, reliability, and ability to work across departments.
