Position Overview Apple TV+ Programming & Positioning Director at Apple Inc., located in Culver City, CA. You will be part of the global video business leadership team, responsible for positioning and launching award‑winning Apple originals and movies to a global audience across all Apple TV+ platforms and the Apple ecosystem in over 100 countries. Responsibilities Strategically drive the positioning and representation of Apple Originals to optimize audience engagement and authentic presentation of world‑class storytelling. Guide strategic editorial teams and copywriters to extract title hooks and convey the storyline’s high stakes. Create cohesive launch plans and customer positioning for every series and film. Own the TV+ programming and merchandising strategy across all Apple TV+ venues, including the Apple TV app, Amazon Prime Channel, third‑party distribution partners, airlines, and more. Lead a cross‑functional team of programmers, ensuring maximum engagement for each title and the service overall. Make data‑driven decisions to update plans and approaches, collaborating with many Apple teams to execute flawless launches via the Apple TV app, email, social, and other channels. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of experience in video streaming and 15+ years in video programming strategy, editorial, and merchandising. Expert in managing the front end of a D2C service focused on audience engagement. Proven track record creating successful launch programs for series and movies on digital streaming platforms. Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading major cross‑functional initiatives in a large, complex organization. Excellent communication skills – brief and succinct yet capable of deep analysis when needed. Analytical and creative thinker who is data‑driven, flexible, and able to pivot quickly. Deep passion for and extensive knowledge of content across platforms and services. Solid understanding of growth and funnel drivers for a subscription business. Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills and interpersonal savvy. Leadership experience with a track record of developing people and fostering culture. Proficiency with creative tools and familiarity with the creative process. Ability to work independently, leading through influence toward alignment in a highly matrix organization. Strategic thinker able to act tactically and simultaneously complete critical business needs. Demonstrated commitment to fighting for excellence in customer experience amid organizational complexity. Proven ability to cultivate innovation collaboratively, both day‑to‑day and overall product development cycles. Ability to lead by example and manage day‑to‑day show and movie positioning while driving service‑level audience engagement. Pay & Benefits Base pay range: $242,300 – $388,000. Pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses or commission, and relocation assistance.
