Purchasing Specialist

Piper Companies is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join a leading medical device organization dedicated to advancing patient outcomes in musculoskeletal health in Audubon, PA . In this role, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and planning teams to support day-to-day purchasing operations, drive supplier performance, and ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-impact supply chain environment. Responsibilities: Review and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier quotes to meet operational and production requirements Partner with suppliers, manufacturing, and accounts payable teams to ensure on-time delivery and invoice accuracy Track and evaluate supplier performance; address issues related to delays, quality problems, or order discrepancies Conduct cost analysis, evaluate volume requirements, and support cost-reduction initiatives Maintain accurate procurement system data and assist with inventory planning, scheduling, and broader supply chain coordination Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred 1+ year of experience—or relevant internship experience—in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain Hands-on experience with purchase order management and supplier coordination Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required) for reporting and data analysis Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail Compensation for the Purchasing Specialist $65,000–$70,000 Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Paid Holidays Application Period: This position opens for applications on 03/06/2026 and will remain open for a minimum of 30 days from the posting date. #J-18808-Ljbffr Piper Companies
