Vice President of IT

Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking a Vice President of IT in Culloden, WV. Position Summary: As a member of Service Wire's senior leadership team, the VP-IT contributes to Service Wire's business process development, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of leveraging information and technology in Service Wire's customer‑focused business model, business process re‑engineering, and support for competitive advantage. The role involves collaborating with every department and leading a multi‑site team towards innovation and service. Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities: Direct the IT department to foster a business‑oriented culture and mindset focusing on customer engagement and efficiencies of customer project execution Build and maintain relationships at every level of the organization to develop a clear understanding of business needs Ensure cost‑effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs, and respond with agility to dynamically affect fast‑changing business priorities Use influencing and negotiation skills to create synergies across Service Wire to enable cost‑effective and innovative shared solutions Provide strategic as well as tactical oversight for the design, development, operation and support of IT systems and programs that fulfill the needs of the business, including enterprise architecture management, application management, security and risk management, and infrastructure and operations support management Develop and maintain an IT workforce and outside resources with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills, costs and competencies that balance the needs between growing agility required to achieve business objectives and ensure the core IT functions are reliable, secure and efficient Oversee all technology operations and projects in alignment with organizational goals Manage ongoing compliance needs related to IT and lead efforts to improve IT processes Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs Recommend and facilitate purchase of efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software solutions to manage business activities Evaluate new technologies for competitive advantage Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost‑efficient contracts Other tasks as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field required Master’s Degree in Technology Management, Business or relevant field preferred 5+ years’ experience leading an IT team; industrial experience a plus Business acumen and negotiation skills in dealing with vendors, suppliers and contractors Collaboration experience and success with a variety of different stakeholders Growth orientation and ability to build a feedback‑rich and performance‑oriented culture within the team Experience in project management within application development and infrastructure timing roll‑out Complex Problem Solving Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Excellent organizational and leadership skills Outstanding communication abilities Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; in‑office role when not traveling for business Reports To: Vice President/CFO The perks of joining our Team Comprehensive Insurance Options - Competitive medical coverage with a variety of plan choices Progressive PTO & Paid Holidays - Tenure‑based paid time off plus eight paid holidays annually 401(k) with Company Match + Profit Sharing - Matching 5% on 6% of employee contributions and annual profit‑sharing contributions Career Growth & Learning Support - Tuition reimbursement and employee assistance programs Tuition reimbursement up to $15,000 - annually to support your continued education and career growth See all benefits we offer here #J-18808-Ljbffr
